Safe operation of hand held control guns requires the use of a Safety Shroud to guard the operator from failure of the hose fitting at the point where it is connected to the gun. Together with the European users APS developed The European Type Shroud which will fit virtually any gun of 10K to 40K of any brand. It’s simply held in place by an adjustable strap, it’s light in weight – easy to clean – doesn’t absorb water (don’t get heavy) – heat resistant – one size fits all (ø 41 mm. ID at the smallest diameter at the press tube) and with universal application it is a popular alternative to the Standard Screw Type Shroud.OD 2"(ø 53 mm.). The Shrouds have a nitrile outer cover, which resists oil, water and many solvents, and an inner layer of braided stainless steel which prevent steel parts through the hose. Safety Shrouds are essential equipment, and should be used in conjunction with a whip hose, which allows for connection to different high pressure sources, without the need to make frequent connections to the gun. NEVER USE A CONTROL GUN WITHOUT A SAFETY SHROUD.
Specifically for water blasting, used in various applications (valves extra in-outlet / pump heads / BJV - RJV - UHP heads e.s.o.). Those fittings are made from heavy duty stainless steel because of its reliability and durability.
These are perhaps the simplest and least expensive safety measure to implement. A "whip check" can be attached at any point where two hoses are joined, or to a pumps fluid end at the discharge side, or where a hose attaches to any piece of water jetting equipment such as a waterjet lancing or cutting system. When a high pressure hose is joined to a piece of equipment, the whip check should be used to restrain the movement of the pressurized hose should it become uncoupled, thereby allowing operators to get away and perform a safe, orderly system shut-down. Picture shows the stainless steel version model ø 3 mm. (⅛") length 21" (530 mm.) mostly used for ½" up to 1¼" hoses.
Helps to protect workers from injury and your equipment from damage. To reduce damage to equipment and injury to personnel when hoses accidentally disconnect while under pressure, be sure to use the new One Ply nylon whip check. Suitable for use on pneumatic, water (high pressure) and hydraulic hoses, these easy to install straps are made from strong, flexible nylon webbing. Slide the rubber grommets (2x) to keep choked eyes snug on the hose. The available standard length of 75 cm. (30”)  will accommodate hoses with inside diameters from 1/4˝ up to 2˝. A "whip check" can be attached at any point where two hoses are joined, or to a pumps fluid end at the discharge side, or where a hose attaches to any piece of water jetting equipment such as a water jet lancing or cutting system. When a high pressure hose is joined to a piece of equipment, the whip check should be used to restrain the movement of the pressurized hose should it become uncoupled, thereby allowing operators to get away and perform a safe, orderly system shut-down. This Two Ply version is the newest on the market which gives two times extra strength and up to ¼" hose safety of 3.640 bar (52.000 psi).
